Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, Epsilon Theta
About Beta Beta Beta
Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is “a society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research.” The Purpose of TriBeta Biological Honor Society – Epsilon Theta Chapter shall be to function as an honor and professional society for students of biology, microbiology, biochemistry and Exercise Science at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA). Our activities are designed to stimulate interest, scholarly attainment, and investigation in the biological sciences. Our chapter’s main goal is to recognize and award outstanding academic achievement and encourage professional development in the biological fields.
Through Tri-Beta we want to teach you more about a career you are interested in, or perhaps introduce you to a career you would have never considered. Other times, we may introduce you to a relevant topic of scientific interest. Also, we hope to help you answer the big question – “What do I need to do to get into…?” We do this by bringing speakers to our meetings, field trips, and getting you acquainted with the Biology Faculty at the CSULA campus.
Goals:
- To promote life science understanding and appreciation
- To provide activities and experiences in biological-related fields
- To expose students to numerous avenues in the field of life science and exercise science.
